To develop next level expertise in robotics we are actively engaging in the FIRST Technical Challenge. This includes gaining an understanding of the entire engineering process, honing CAD design proficiency, mastering electrical and wiring aspects, refining engineering skills related to chassis and manipulator design, programming with a focus on sensor feedback, cultivating rapid prototyping abilities, acquiring machine shop and general tool skills.

In the FIRST Tech Challenge students learn to think like engineers. Teams design, build, and code robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Robots are built from a reusable platform, powered by Android technology, and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming.
